What are nervous system regulation tools?
+
Short practices that use your breath, your body and your attention to help you find calm, lift your energy or mood, focus and rest. Many also build interoception: your awareness of what is happening inside your body, such as your breathing, muscle tension and heartbeat. That awareness is the foundation of regulation. Practised regularly, the tools build capacity, so you can handle more stress before you feel overwhelmed. The Practice Room includes breathing practices such as the physiological sigh and humming breath, awareness practices such as orienting and the body scan, progressive muscle relaxation, guided audio and coaching prompts.
Do I need any experience?
+
No. Explore freely: pick a practice that intrigues you, or one that speaks to what you need. All the guidance is on the cards and in the audios.
Who is it for?
+
Anyone who wants simple, practical ways to reduce stress, calm anxiety, lift their energy, focus and sleep better, at home, at work or on the mountain.
How does access work?
+
Some practices are free with a free account. One payment of £37 opens the whole library for life, on your phone, tablet or computer, including new practices as they're added.
Is this therapy?
+
No. It's a library of practical tools you use on your own. It isn't therapy or medical treatment, and it doesn't replace advice from your GP or another health professional.
Health and safety
+
If you are pregnant, injured or have a health condition, check with your GP before trying the breathing or movement practices. Go at your own pace, and stop any practice that causes pain, dizziness or distress. Where a practice needs a specific caution, it is in the Tips on that card.
